Welcome to the Administration Guide. This system bridges your Teachable school data with a custom Google Sheets calculation engine to power the Student Degree Dashboard.
1. Syncing Student Data
To view a specific student's progress or audit their degree path, you must pull their latest data from Teachable into the Sheet.
- Open the Master Spreadsheet.
- In the top menu bar, click Teachable > Get Student Data.
- Enter the Student User ID (found in their Teachable profile URL) into the prompt.
⚠️ First-Time Authorization If you see an "Authorization Required" error, ensure you are logged in with only the authorized Google account (use an Incognito window if necessary).
2. Managing Course Rules
The "Rules Database" (the Data or Courses tab) defines how courses count towards degrees.
Handling Duplicates
A course can belong to multiple Tracks, but it cannot have conflicting rules for the exact same Track and Degree.
- The Warning System: If a row turns RED, it is a duplicate rule. Delete it immediately.
3. Configuration (Config Tab)
- Grandfathering Date (Cell B11): Students enrolled before this date may be exempt from Associate-level core requirements.
- Enforce Higher Core (Cell B13): Keep this TRUE. It ensures Bachelor's/Master's/Doctorate degrees strictly enforce core requirements for everyone.
4. Troubleshooting
- "Missing Required Core": The student has enough total credits but missed specific mandatory courses. Check the "Missing Courses Report" tab.
- "Borrowed Credits": Credits marked as "Borrowed" on the Master's track are surplus credits automatically moved up from a completed Bachelor's degree.
